Things change daily and your best source of guidance for COVID-19 testing availability continues to be the County webpages which offer both a listing of current testing centers (with and without appointments) as well as the newly instituted take-home test (closest pickup location for us is Helen Keller Park off of Vermont).

Wiseburn Watch Meeting – Dec 8 – Preferential Parking District

Please join us next Wednesday for a special Wiseburn Watch Meeting where we will have LA County representatives talk to us about it Wiseburn Waking Path and details about establishing a Preferential Parking District.

  • We will be collecting toys for the LA County Sheriff’s Holiday Drive – please bring any toy donations wrapped/sealed to the meeting

WUSD School Renaming Exploration Process – update

The Wiseburn USD school board received an updated report on the school renaming exploration process during their latest meeting. The presentation covered the latest information about the process, including a preliminary review of community feedback.

WUSD – Renaming Committee seeking community feedback

The Wiseburn Unified School District’s school renaming committee has met for the second time, and are now actively seeking feedback from the local community on findings from the meeting and a special presentation by a historian.

You can learn more about the school renaming process, catch the second meeting recap, find the survey, and, if interested, sign up for their email group by visiting wiseburn.org/renaming.
Wiseburn wants to hear from as many local residents as possible during this process, so please submit feedback by November 11.

West Basin – free rain barrel program

West Basin is pleased to announce the launch of the Rain Barrel Program for 2022.

Residents of the West Basin service area may now register at www.westbasin.org/rain-barrels for free home delivery, or a drive-through pick-up event hosted in El Segundo on Saturday, January 29 from 8-11AM or at the Carson office on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 8-11AM.
