Dear Wiseburn Community,
The Hawthorne Police Department’s SWAT team will be conducting a training exercise at Dana Middle School on Thursday, July 15 from 10am to 4pm. During the training, there will be a police presence on campus and the Hawthorne Police Department’s helicopter will land and take off on the Dana Middle School field throughout the day.
As Wiseburn is currently on summer break, students nor staff should be on campus and traffic will not be impacted due to the training. Per Hawthorne Police Department’s request and to enhance the safety of our community, please avoid the field area at Dana on Thursday, July 15.
Please note that this training exercise is not related to safety efforts for Wiseburn. Hawthorne Police Department is utilizing this field to have ample room for the exercise.
This is part of a continued partnership between Wiseburn and the Hawthorne Police Department. We want to also thank the residents in the area ahead of time for their patience and cooperation.
